Overall aim:

In this set of four lessons for KS3, students have the opportunity to explore different perspectives, including non-human perspectives, to make sense of climate breakdown through stories.

Description:

  • Students will hear from young people around the world, their fears, hopes and creative plans.
  • Students will consider ancient wisdom in stories of creation and how they teach us to cherish planet Earth.
  • Students will find out about what inspires groups and individuals to take action, and what this action looks like.
  • Students will reflect on their own experiences and worldviews, and consider how their understanding has grown.

Stories:
Earth’s Story – What is the earth’s climate story?
Stories of Origin - The value of earth in creation stories
Stories of Inspiration - How can stories inspire climate action?
My Climate Story – What is my own climate story?
