Description:
- through data and evidence pupils will gain an understanding of how human action has led to climate change
- explore religious responses to climate change and the idea of ethical responsibility
- consider practical responses and offer a personal reflection
Overall aim:
- to understand what is meant by climate change
- to understand the science behind climate change
- to understand how human behaviour has brought us here
- to explore and reflect on reactions and responses to climate change
By the end of the unit:
Pupils will have gained a thorough understanding of the science of climate change and the implications. Through exploring different religious responses, pupils will think about how, why and whether human action should change. Pupils will explore ethical and practical responses and consider what inspires people to act. Pupils end the unit with a chance to explore and present their own thinking.
